Mr, Sardar Masood Khan, President Azad Jammu & Kashmir established the context of Kashmir dispute by laying foundational principles & ideology based on Islam. He highlighted the importance of creation of Pakistan and its incompletion without Jammu & Kashmir. He emphasized that Kashmiris are living in a perpetual state of violence along Line of Control in Azad Jammu & Kashmir. He re-emphasized the importance of 5th August when India invaded and re-occupied Indian Illegally Occupied Jammu & Kashmir delegitimizing Kashmiris by taking them as citizens and brazenly violating international norms & United Nations’ resolutions. He said that plight of Kashmiris is the greatest of human tragedy where violence and rape is used as a political weapon to silence the voices of self-determination. He traced the genocide of Kashmiris to 1947 when 250,000 innocent civilians were massacred by Dogra forces & RSS. He underscored that Pakistan has always followed the international principles of humanity & believed in diplomacy under the auspices of United Nations, whereas India has always been violating them. He pledged that Kashmiris will continue to strive for the fundamental rights of self-determination under the UN charter.
