Lieutenant General Tariq Waseem Ghazi, HI(M), Retired educated the student officers on importance of reading for mil professional. Lecture was delivered on campus. In the beginning, he spelled out the benefits of reading; as to how it contributes towards the intellectual development, besides personal and professional growth. He emphasized that a military professional must be well-read to be acknowledged as an effective leader. He highlighted certain techniques for developing a reading habit and making it part of one’s daily routine. He also emphasized the importance of objective study of military history for military professionals. Later, he highlighted the significance of writing and how one can polish one’s analytical skills through reading and writing. Towards the end, he stressed the value and ways of using reading lists besides recommending few reading lists for focused study. Talk was followed by an interactive Question and Answer session.
