Doctor Sarfraz Khawaja educated the student officers about the state institutions and security of Pakistan. He briefly explained the concept of good governance, role of state institutions and expectations from national institutions in statecraft. Based on his research and historical record, he explained the shortfalls in performance of Pakistan’s important state institutions and the repercussions for demographically diverse Pakistani society. He also explained security implications of mis-governance and weak performance of state institutions. He dilated upon role of Pakistan Armed Forces highlighting areas for mutual growth and coordination with other state institutions. Towards the end, he suggested broad measures to revamp performance of state institutions in order to enhance their proficiency. Talk was followed by an interactive Questions and Answers Session.
