CHALLENGES OF COMMAND AND LEADERSHIP WHILE UNDERTAKING COUNTER TERRORISM EFFORTS
Lieutenant General Khalid Rabbani, Hilal-i-Imtiaz (Military) (Retired) is seasoned veteran who led Counter Terrorism Operations in Operation Al-Mizan, besides leading Operation Rah-i-Nijaat in South Waziristan Agency.
He delivered a talk to the students on Challenges to Command and Leadership while Undertaking Counter Terrorism Efforts. He started the talk with the perspective of a military leadership as seen by a practitioner and defined leaders as a ‘Power Pack’ of any outfit. While giving personnel examples and case studies he emphasised on the need to have an aggressive outlook, importance of the comeback, night operations, determination and will power and love for the under command. He concluded the talk with the need for a leadership to have bigger heart & relying on collective wisdom. He was candid and open while answering various quarries raised by the students.
