Lieutenant General Asim Saleem Bajwa Hilal-e-Imtiaz (Military), Tamgha-e-Basalat (TBt) delivered an insightful talk on ‘CPEC, Challenges, Opportunities and Way Forward’. He initiated his talk with historical background of Sino-Pakistan economic cooperation and genesis of CPEC projects. He gave an overview of CPEC projects and their current status / progress. Thereafter, he dilated upon future plans (phase-2) and areas of potential cooperation in infrastructure development, energy, information technology and telecommunication, agriculture and tourism sectors. In the end, he also discussed and clarified few misperceptions which are propagated against the project. Talk was followed by an interactive Questions and Answers session.
