IDEOLOGY OF PAKISTAN – 28 JUL 2021

Dr Mujeeb Afzal delivered a talk to students on value and place of Ideology for nation states. The lecture was conducted on Flipped Classroom concept. A pre-recorded lecture was given to the students a day prior to interactive session. He gave historical perspective of the basic ideology and the way it helped in creation of Pakistan. He discussed the characteristics of ideologies and their inherent flexibility which ensure their relevance. He dilated upon the significance of associated structures and symbols which are essentially required for manifestation of ideology. He discussed the interplay of various factors such as language, ethnicity, religion and sectarianism on basic ideology and their attendant implications. In the end he highlighted the role of leadership and responsibility of individuals in strengthening the ideology and transferring it to the next generation in its true form
