Brigadier Waheed Uz Zaman, (Retired) visited Command and Staff College, Quetta to deliver a talk on ‘Iqbaliyat and Modern Day Leadership’. He opened his talk by citing Iqbal’s verse that life is a struggle and not a matter of privilege. He dilated upon Iqbal’s philosophical, religious, military, economic and political thoughts while drawing pertinent relevance with modern day leadership practices. Talking about the concept of ‘Khudi’, he explained; how self-observing, self-building and self-examining nature of man makes him eternal and how a leader with these qualities can inspire his followers. His talk was followed by an interactive session, in which, Student Officers asked several insightful questions, which were candidly responded to by the Guest Speaker
