NATIONAL ACTION PLAN – VISION, MANDATE AND PROGRESS – 1st MAR 2021

Mr Muhammad Ali Khan Baba Khel, Director General Research (NACTA), educated the student officers on various contours of National Action Plan. He explained the twenty point agenda of National Action Plan to set the context of his talk. He deliberated on progress in terms of actions taken on various agenda points and the dividends achieved thereof. He highlighted various impediments in implementation including efficacy of National Counter Terrorism Authority (NACTA), bureaucratic inertia, constitution / legal voids and societal issues. He also identified certain areas for structural reforms to implement National Action Plan in totality. In the end he gave a roadmap in shape of short, medium and long-term measures for execution of National Action Plan.
