Lieutenant General Hidayat Ur Rehman, HI(M) (Retired) educated the students on modern day command and leadership challenges faced in Hybrid Warfare environment. Lecture was delivered on campus. First, he spelled out the effects of societal changes on the led in today’s information age. He also listed key attributes of leadership required in Hybrid Warfare environment. Then, he explained how hybrid threat environment and prolonged employment in sub conventional warfare translates into leadership challenges at tactical level. Thereafter, he described the leadership challenges likely to be confronted by future leaders in next 10-15 years. He kept his focus narrowed down to junior leadership level i.e. Staff Officers, Company and Battalion Commanders. Towards the end, he offered guidelines for future leaders to follow while operating in Hybrid Warfare environment. Talk was followed by an interactive Question and Answer session.
